Michael has successfully litigated matters before the Supreme Court of the State of New York at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. His appellate work has been featured amongst other “significant New York appellate cases” selected by the New York State Bar Association for publication in its journal.
Attorney Donlon has obtained some of the largest personal injury recoveries in the region and is a certified lifetime member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won verdicts, awards or settlments in the amount of one million dollars or more. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. Attorney Donlon has also been recognized as a Top 25 Motor Vehicle Accident litigator by The National Trial Lawyers organization. In 2017, Attorney Donlon was part of a premier group of attorneys who practice Civil Plaintiff law in the State of New York to be chosen for membership in The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 organization.
Attorney Donlon obtained his Bachelor Degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and his Juris Doctor Degree from State University of New York at Buffalo. Michael’s academic honors include Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta, and Tau Sigma distinction.
Michael grew up in Steuben County in Hornell, New York. When he is not advocating for his clients he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, exercising, and making music with friends. Michael also volunteers his time as a member on the Board of Directors for the Corning Children’s Center where he has served as Chairman of the Middle States Re-accreditation Committee.
